Recycled Clothing

Recycled clothing has traditionally meant donating your used or unwanted clothing to charity where it might end up in a thrift store at a reduced price for others to purchase and wear. Second hand stores and increasing more vintage clothing stores are still very popular and a great way to sustain clothing further out and prevent it from ending up in our landfills.

Today, recycled clothing means much more as we are finding new and innovative ways to create functional clothing, jewelry and useful household articles made fully, or in part from recycled materials found in items that might have been destined to the community landfill.

By reducing the requirement of virgin raw materials for our clothes the net result is that we are successfully reducing our carbon emissions that would have otherwise been produced during the manufacturing process of "brand new" clothing. This recycling process also greatly reduces the further use of unsustainable items yielded from extracting and removing materials from the Earth as we instead use what has previously been used.
